Base Area (MLS Zones East, North and Central).
TAFB is located on the south east edge of Bay country,
personnel will need to determine how long a drive they wish to make to work.
Alert personnel should look for homes in the East MLS zone in Callaway,
Parker and Springfield. Those areas have many ranch style homes,
some brick, and will be close to the East Bay and DuPont Bridge.
Military families can find great buys in the Lynn Haven area in MLS zone
North. This area has had the newest growth in the county and many
families like the schools located there. Most of the new homes are
stucco with square footage from 1600 up. Prices are stable in this
area and homes will hold value as the area grows. Expect plenty of
competition for the best homes. Drive time from Lynn Haven to
Tyndall is about 30 minutes and passes most major shopping areas.
The MLS central zone is the older area of the county and homes will have
well established yards, often including pools and will be near boating
and park areas. Many of these homes will have had remodeling in
the last few years. Begin in the east MLS zone and price compare
to get the best research.
