Homes in Town  (MLS Zones Central, North and East).  Price variation and age will be primary considerations on homes in Panama City.  The older areas will have homes on large, well landscaped lots and the age of the homes will be as old as 50 years although newer homes are being built in some of the nicer areas.  Storage will be non existent or very little.  Garages will be enclosed from carports and the homes will have remodeling in kitchens and bath rooms.  Access to the many downtown and historic district activities will be a plus as well as the proximity to churches and hospitals.  Many of the older subdivisions will have storm water run off improvements and the vest pocket size parks make wonderful walking areas for the families.  Schools in the down town are being remodeled and serve as magnet schools for the arts and sciences.  The families that choose the Panama City area are in an excellent tax district and will not see as many impact fees as the new developments.  Wide streets lined with large oak trees that are several hundred years old and Victorian style homes with a few ranch styles will be the norm.  Easy access to the Gulf Coast Community College, The FSU branch and the county office complexes make living in town convenient.  Cultural activities are mainly in the downtown art district and community redevelopment money has refurbished many of the original historical commercial buildings.  Prices will vary widely so care should be given to features such as fireplaces, pools and square footage per dollar.

Specific questions should be sent via email and research thru tax records and local links will assist the buyer interested in purchasing property in town.
