Living in Panama City Beach while stationed at Naval Support
Activity and Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center will be a welcome
memory for those who enjoy beach living. Competition for the homes
will be increased by the many tourist/retirees who also enjoy the water
sports and the appreciation in value of the beach homes.
New Subdivisions are underway and the
homes will usually be stucco construction and on small lots.
Excellent new schools and tourist attractions will be an added bonus for
Navy Families who purchase in the beaches areas. As with any
waterfront area, the proximity to the Gulf, lagoon or bays will increase
the price of homes. Many of the first families of beach owners
still own older homes and these will usually need major refurbishment to
provide the best value upon resale. Navy personnel can also find
good buys over the Hathaway Bridge in MLS zone North and Central.
Drive time to the base will be at least 30
minutes with extra time needed due to bridge construction. Prices
per square foot will be cheaper in town and the variety of styles will
include ranch, cottage, and new brick homes.

help with decisions.
