Development. Commercial development has been rampant on
Panama City Beach and in the Lynn Haven area in the last few years.
Community redevelopment block grants and a busy small business incubator
have been drawing investors to both areas. Haney Vocational center
has changed course offerings to supply employees to many of the
industrial park companies now enjoying growth in the tax zones and at
the port. Businesses have taken over older historic buildings in
the down town area and an energetic improvement board has harmonized
development along the older business district and the marina areas.
Because a variety of projects are underway, the wise investor will need
to complete a due diligence and thoroughly investigate the properties relative
to their requirements. Strip centers, franchises and office parks
are springing up along all of the major traffic corridors. Traffic
counts, tax information and other info can be accessed thru Chamber of
Commerce or the local links for taxes.
